TDA Clair GmbH is a globally operating company in the event industry. We are a technical service provider in audio/lighting/video for concerts/festivals/tours. In addition to the rental of equipment, our main focus is on the planning and implementation of technical event concepts. This includes, for example, complete solutions for tours, festivals and corporate events. The integration into the worldwide operating company Clair Global, makes TDA Clair GmbH now part of a worldwide and market-leading company.

We are looking for a HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY (m/f/d) with immediate effect.)

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversight of event technology equipment inventory, quality standards, test protocols and associated technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the global development team to drive innovation and quality
  • Work with the global IT team to drive automation of data-driven processes.
  • Actively participate in the growth of the global product lines in Audio, Lighting, Video, Data Services, Tour & Event Networking and Communications
  • Active participation in investment decisions in the area of rental equipment.
  • Providing technical advice to employees in the areas of sales, project management, operations and road.
  • Conceptualization and design of technology solutions for live events, including modeling, design and diagramming for external and internal stakeholders
  • Communication and coordination between vendors, partner companies and clients.
  • Use of planning software for audio, lighting, video and rigging.
  • Participate in load-in of events and tours to ensure a smooth start and provide on-site technical support at events and tours as required.
  • Project management tasks as required (customer support, planning, implementation, logistics, material, personnel, external services, budget management)
  • Responsible for the delivery, development and continuous improvement of technical training programs that reflect current and future knowledge needs for internal and freelance staff.
  • Reports to senior management on a range of deliverables, including new products, product lifecycle and refresh plans, project status and staff recruitment related to training programs
  • Coordinates health and safety policies and procedures with other Global Safety Officers and keeps all event health and safety documentation up to date.
  • Define planning and execution standards and drive continuous improvement processes.
  • Developing the technical service offering, identifying industry developments and providing the necessary change procedures
  • Monitoring compliance with execution standards (in planning and on site)
  • Monitoring compliance with legal requirements
  • Supporting road staff by providing technical/non-technical support via telephone, video and remote maintenance around the clock.
  • Recruit new talent through training programs to keep pace with the company's growth needs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Continuous training for all relevant live event technologies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities to recruit applicants and assist in the development of curriculum to better prepare applicants for careers in event technology.
  • Maintaining up-to-date functional knowledge of European safety regulations that apply to the company's operations.
  • Participate in industry groups working to set standards for event technology and safety.
  • Accident investigation and reporting for internal and freelance staff.
